Official records pertaining to proposed annexations of territory to cities and villages, which were sent to the Dept. of Development and, after Sept. 1991, to the Dept. of Administration for review and approval/disapproval, under authority granted in section 66.021, Wis. Stats. Included are questionnaires sent to towns and municipalities concerned, financial statements, Annual Report to School Districts, Determination of Public Interest, copies of plats, and notices to circulate petition. The Municipal Boundary Adjustment Review (Boundary Review Program) was transferred to the Dept. of Administration from the Dept. of Development on Sept. 1, 1991 per Budget Bill 1991-93, Section 9115 (1m) Non-statutory provisions. The processed portion of this series dates 1960-1973, 1977-2001. Additional accessions date 1993-1996 and are described below.
